We would also like to acknowledge the enormous and continued support of Councillor Kevin Mitchell (Liberal Councillor for St James) and the help we received from Phil Brock when Liberal Councillor for Devon.

Currently we have the interest and support of Jill and Keith Owen, our new labour Councillors for Devon and St James respectively.

By the summer of 2014 we hope to have in place:

  • new seating
  • new timber play pieces in the young persons' play area
  • new noticeboard
  • new entrance, gate and path
  • a hedge containing plants to encourage birds and other wildlife along the Devonshire Place roadsise of the orchard
  • a wide variety of young fruit trees, including appleas, pears, plums & cherries (varieties which we know to do well in the Exeter area)
  • a meadow area planted with bulbs and other wild flowers to encourgae pollinators etc.
